Why Private Yoga?

Aside from this being how yoga was traditionally taught in India, everybody is different. Your history, your past injuries, your goals, they are unique to you and in the private yoga class setting I help you construct a practice that will serve your unique physiology and goals.
In the group setting the teaching is generalized, in this setting it is specific to best support your development.

If my rectus abdominis separated during pregnancy, when can I return to core strength work?

To find out if you’re ready for core strength work, sit on the ground with your knees bent, feet on the floor. Place your finger tips in a line below your belly button and lean back gently. If you feel a dip between the muscles, the rectus abdominis has not reconnected and you should wait until they rejoin before working on core strength. When you exercise you can gently press the two sides of the belly together to help them reconnect.

“Why I really love Rosy’s class is the extra element that she brings to each session-often starting by sharing a reading, and always encouraging you to think about how tackling physical challenges in yoga class helps you take on the world beyond the mat.”
